RECEIVED EMPLOYER FEEDBACK
In response to a major pain-point voiced by our Existing Industry partners, Maury Alliance decided to conduct
a workforce alignment study of Maury County.

DEVELOPED AN RFP
Alliance staff, Travis Groth, was selected as an ACCE Workforce Fellow and TVA Workforce Board Member. He utilized experience gained to craft a RFP hat was distributed nationally.

PARTNERED WITH BOYETTE
Boyette Strategic Advisors was selected to conduct the Workforce Alignment Study in 2020. The purpose of the study was to identify current workforce assets, overall labor market competitiveness, and improved alignment opportunities between training programs and actual employer skills demand.

EXECUTED WORKFORCE ALIGNMENT STUDY
Boyette conducted a thorough study of our community through surveys with local employers, residents, high schoolers, and post-secondary students; one-on-one meetings with major local employers; in person visits; and direct engagement with regional education and training partners.

RELEASED THE FINDINGS
Alliance hosted live event where Boyette released workforce alignment study results, findings, and recommendations. The study clearly defined the Maury Labor Market Area, workforce profile, and resulted in specific, actionable recommendations to improve local workforce alignment.

FORMED A STEERING COMMITTEE
The ALIGN Maury Steering Committee, composed of top leadership among employers, education & training providers, and community organizations, formed immediately following the release of the study to prioritize recommendations and provide guidance and direction for overall program efforts.

Continued Engagement

WAGE & BENEFIT STUDY
Coordinated top tier response rates from local industries toward a successful Wage & Benefit Survey in partnership with the Middle Tennessee Industrial Development Agency and Middle Tennessee State University. Providing incredibly rich data, the wage and benefit report results were provided at no charge to participating industries.


MANUFACTURING DAY
In celebration of Manufacturing Day, partnered with Maury County Public Schools and Columbia State Community College to provide 120 high school students with tours of three local manufacturing facilities and the Columbia State Engineering Systems Technology Program.


NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY
To keep local employers informed of workforce development opportunities and resources, ALIGN Maury Notice of Opportunity communications were sent throughout the year.


PARTNER HIGHLIGHTS
Featured ALIGN Maury Partners on social media throughout 2023 highlighting unique workforce development programs and positive partner impact on the local workforce.


PARTNER SUPPORT
Supported key ALIGN Partners, Columbia State Community College and Maury County Public Schools through service on multiple advisory panels and by providing letters of support for workforce development related grant applications.


SIZEUPMAURY
Engaged with SizeUp and are on track to launch SizeUpMaury, an interactive business analytics tool designed to support small and medium-sized businesses in a variety of stages by delivering powerful market research insights, in January 2023.


NETWORK
Added new members to the ALIGN Maury Steering Committee.
