South Central Tennessee Workforce Alliance

The South Central Tennessee Workforce Alliance partnered with TCAT Pulaski, Maury & Giles County Sheriff’s Departments, and GM to create a Certified Production Technician Certification program for the justice involved population.  

 TCAT Pulaski provides instruction, the Sheriff’s Departments provide space and access to students, GM provides some funding, and SCTWA provides case management services to students addressing barriers to employment, mock interviews with business and industry partners, and connections to employment opportunities upon release.

 To date 44 justice involved individuals have participated in the CPT Program. Of the 12 that have been released from incarceration, 8 are currently employed and 4 are actively seeking employment.
